It's Liberty Pass, jump on it! Okay, let's take it down a notch and get serious again. Very serious... You've got 200 euros a month to put into a boat. 200 euros to go boating all year round, whenever you want, as many times as you want. That's exactly the Liberty Pass concept. On the face of it, there's not much more to understand.
How does the Liberty Pass work?
You pay a monthly membership fee. This corresponds to unlimited use of a boat model. The fee is based on a standard rate, adjusted by the dealer according to the models available to you.
For example, Christophe Rolles, manager of Passion Boat, a dealer in Mandelieu, starts at 199 euros per month for a Cap Ferret 502: "For this price, members of the Passion Boat Club in Mandelieu can reserve a boat all year round, as many times as they like, with no limit.
Subscribers reserve their time slot whenever they wish via their mobile application. The boat is automatically reserved for them. Subscribers check-in their boats themselves. Use it as often as you like. When they return to port, they check out via their smartphone and the app, then deposit the boat keys in the automatic key box.

There's just one obligation: to take care of the boats and pay your membership dues.
Some partners even let you choose your model according to your activity (wakeboarding, fishing, taking advantage of a good deal with friends). Others, like Christophe Rolles of Passion Boat, go even further: "With Liberty Pass, we can create the right offer for each customer. A customer wants to use a boat for two months, or even 15 days in high season? No stress! His fee is smoothed out over the year, and he can use my fleet freely for the summer if he wants to. The customer is free, and so am I".
The subscriber's only obligation is to pay an annual deposit, be up to date with his or her membership fees and return the boat in the same condition and with a full tank, but with no time constraints.

The 21st century yachtsman, like his cousin the motorist, only wants to pay for the use of the asset, and wants to free himself from the constraints of ownership. But the particularity of a boat is its cost, and this is nothing new: a boat is very expensive! Finally, the costs inherent in boat ownership - port taxes, upkeep and maintenance - are prohibitive.

Christophe Rolles agrees: "Rental is not our business, and we don't have the necessary spanners for check-in and check-out. We have to maintain the boats we manage.
