01 Where can I find a Liberty Pass boat on the Atlantic Coast?
Liberty Pass operates in several boating areas along the Atlantic coast, from Loire-Atlantique to the Basque Country. You can find boats in locations such as: Pornichet, Le Pouliguen, Les Sables-d'Olonne, La Rochelle, Île d'Oléron, Arcachon, Cap Ferret, and Hendaye. The boats available and their availability vary by port.
02 How much does a boat membership cost on the Atlantic Coast?
The price of a Liberty Pass subscription depends on the boat, its engine, its equipment, and the plan offered. Liberty Pass subscriptions are available starting at €199 per month.
The rate includes, among other things, the boat, its dock space, maintenance, insurance, and the Liberty Pass support service. This is an annual subscription with monthly payments, not a monthly boat rental.
03 What types of boats are available on the Atlantic Coast?
Depending on the port, Liberty Pass offers different types of boats along the Atlantic Coast: motorboats, RIBs, sailboats, and multihulls. However, not all categories are available at every port.
The easiest way is to first choose your boating area, then check out the boats currently available in the corresponding Liberty Pass database.
04 Is it possible to sail year-round on the Atlantic Coast?
Yes. The vast majority of Liberty Pass boats are available year-round, except during the periods required for their annual maintenance.
The membership plan is specifically designed for recreational boaters who prefer to sail regularly rather than rent a boat on an occasional basis during the summer season. Outings are, of course, subject to weather conditions and sailing conditions.
05 How does the Liberty Pass subscription work?
Each boat can accommodate a maximum of 6 Liberty Pass subscribers. Outings are organized using a reservation token system that allows each member to reserve their upcoming time slots through the Liberty Pass app.
Once a trip has been completed, the corresponding token becomes available again and can be used to schedule a new trip. This system allows reservations to be distributed among the various subscribers while maintaining a high degree of flexibility in the boat’s use.
