01 Where can I find a Liberty Pass boat on a lake or river?
Liberty Pass operates on several major inland waterways in France and Switzerland. In particular, you can find boats in Aix-les-Bains, Veyrier-du-Lac, Évian-les-Bains, Thonon-les-Bains, Geneva, Mâcon, and even Dienville. The boats available and their availability vary by location.
02 How much does a boat permit cost for a lake or river?
The price of a Liberty Pass subscription depends on the boat, its engine, its equipment, and the plan offered. Liberty Pass subscriptions are available starting at €199 per month.
The rate includes, among other things, the boat, its dock space, maintenance, insurance, and the Liberty Pass support service. This is an annual subscription with monthly payments, not a monthly boat rental.
03 What types of boats are available on lakes and rivers?
The models available vary by Liberty Pass location. In particular, you'll find a variety of motorboats suitable for outings on lakes and inland waterways.
The easiest way is to first choose your cruising area, and then browse the boats currently available in the corresponding Liberty Pass database.
04 Can you go boating on lakes and rivers all year round?
The vast majority of Liberty Pass boats are available year-round, except during periods when they require annual maintenance.
However, the ability to navigate depends on the weather conditions, navigation conditions, and any regulations specific to the lake, river, or body of water in question.
05 How does the Liberty Pass subscription work?
Each boat can accommodate a maximum of 6 Liberty Pass subscribers. Outings are organized using a reservation token system that allows each member to reserve their upcoming time slots through the Liberty Pass app.
Once a trip has been completed, the corresponding token becomes available again and can be used to schedule a new trip. This system allows reservations to be distributed among the various subscribers while maintaining a high degree of flexibility in the boat’s use.
